To my gentle readers,
There is some space in the right corner of my head where I have always desired to have pink wings of my own!
I would unfurl them and take a crisp, delightful, lengthy flight up to the ends of the earth. To those ends, where the skies usually meet the navy blue oceans and their foamy waves. Where the sun sets like this glimmering-peachy-beauty…
These imaginary pauses in my dome head give me some hopeful energy to continue the race of my life. And I am aware that none of such fairy-tale desires are earth-bound practicalities. Our practicalities are majorly dehydrating, to the point of shallow answers to this glorious life.
“And so maybe,” I thought to myself, “I can have this pause in my writing. In my letters to this small bunch of readers who are gentle in their spirits.”
Thence, this year of twenty-twenty-five (even though it started three months late for me), I am adding ‘On Pause’ alongside ‘The Little Letter Series’ and ‘Delights of the Ordinary: Original.’
What is ‘On Pause’?
‘On Pause’ will be my new series of quiet, restful letters under the head of Delights of the Ordinary.
In simple words, we are not navigating our world through the lens of difficult emotional topics (like we did all through last year) or tectonic plates moving in the Himalayas or the terrors of global warming!
‘On Pause’ is essentially made up of small, easy stuff and some stories to it. A sense of pause, and maybe some ideas to inspire you to take relaxing, resounding breaths in the moment.
Here is what you can expect:
Delights of the Ordinary: in its original form - The big thoughtful essays ‘For right-spirited people who wish not to go left.’
My last year’s and much-loved Little Letter Series - Letters for quieter spirits who want to see beyond spreadsheets.
And this year, my new addition - On Pause - A minimal series of rest.
You will receive them in different shapes and sizes, and at different weekends of the month.
That’s the plan.
Lastly, I made this “On-Pause” animation myself. I wanted it to be crisper, but what could you expect from a nutritionist who is trying to explore numerous avenues to let her writing be presented well?
So, if you missed clicking on this video, then you may do it now. :)
Wishing you sweetness and serenity, and see you soon.
